Child Dental Benefits Schedule
At Coastal Dental, we're for your family. That's why we bulk bill patients on the Child Dental Benefits Schedule — meaning no out-of-pocket costs for eligible children.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a Government initiative providing financial support for basic dental services for children aged 2–17, with benefits capped per child over 2 consecutive calendar years. Covered services include examinations, X-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions.
Bulk billing available — no out-of-pocket costs for eligible children. Bring your Medicare card to your appointment and we can check your child's eligibility for you.
HICAPS — Instant Health Fund Claims
HICAPS enables fast and simple claiming with your private health fund. Save the hassle of taking claims to your health fund by taking advantage of HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service) on-the-spot claiming here at Coastal Dental.
You don't need to sign up to use HICAPS — simply use your health fund membership card next time you visit us. Our team will process your claim in seconds, so you only pay the gap (if any) on the day.

DentiCare Payment Plans
Coastal Dental offers payment plans for selected dental treatments, managed through DentiCare's direct debit service for your convenience — so we can focus entirely on you, your smile, and your dental healthcare needs.
There are no credit or finance contracts for our practice payment plans. Please feel at ease and talk to us about payment plans so you can fulfil your dental and oral care needs without financial stress.

HCF — More for Teeth
We are proud to be a part of the HCF More for Teeth Program. HCF's More for Teeth provider network is here to help you maintain great oral health.
Available to HCF members with selected extras cover, it offers 100% back on a range of diagnostic and preventative services such as check-ups, cleans, X-rays, fluoride and mouthguards — subject to annual limits.

CBHS — Dental Choice Network
The Dental Choice Network is a group of dental service providers who have committed to reducing or removing the gap for selected preventative dental services — the difference you would usually pay between the dentist's charges and the CBHS benefit.
By choosing a dentist in the network, CBHS members with Prestige (Gold), LiveLife (Gold), Step-up (Bronze Plus), KickStart (Basic Plus), Top Extras and Overseas Visitors Cover are completely covered for selected preventative dental services — including check-ups, scales, cleans and fluoride treatments.
No out-of-pocket expenses on selected preventative services for eligible CBHS members in the Dental Choice Network.
Bupa Members First
We're proud to be a Bupa Members First Practice. That means Bupa members with eligible extras cover generally pay less out of pocket with us than at a non-network dentist — your benefit is paid at a higher rate on most dental treatments.
How much you get back depends on your level of cover, your yearly limits and whether you've served your waiting periods. Members on higher levels of extras cover can receive up to 100% back on selected general dental services.
Bupa also offers Gap Free for Kids on a range of eligible policies — no out-of-pocket cost on most general dental for children included on a parent's family policy. This covers services like check-ups, cleans, fillings and X-rays, but excludes orthodontics.
Gap Free for Kids is only available on selected Bupa policies and applies to children on a parent's family policy — not to members on their own policy. Waiting periods, yearly limits and fund rules apply. We recommend confirming your eligibility with Bupa before your appointment, or call us and we'll help you check.
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
Veterans with a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Gold Card receive bulk-billed treatment at Coastal Dental — no out-of-pocket costs for any dental treatment.
We can also provide dental treatment for White Card holders, but only where the treatment relates to DVA-accepted disabilities. If you're unsure of your status or eligibility, please contact DVA directly before your appointment.

Afterpay — Buy Now, Pay Later
Afterpay is a buy-now-pay-later platform that lets you pay for your dental treatment in 4 equal instalments spread over 6 weeks — completely interest free.
It's fast, simple, and requires no lengthy application process. Simply let our reception team know you'd like to pay with Afterpay at the time of your appointment. Afterpay is available for selected dental treatments — ask us for details.
